Canada eh! It’s hard to believe that up until 1994 Christian radio was governed against. Even more amazing when you think that 90% of the population lives within 200 kilometers of the American border where Christian radio stations number in the thousands!

Rev. Gordon Lewis from Cobourg and Linda and Alar Korgemets from Kitchener were given the vision. Hal Short, the UCBi President, grasped it as well and from that moment it was only a matter of time.

In 2002 the work began in earnest and now in 2007 102.3 FM in Belleville is on air, along with 89.3 FM in Chatham Kent, and The Word For Today has a Canadian edition. New licences have been approved by the regulatory body (the CRTC) and because of the support (both in people and cash) from UCB International UCB Canada is on a roll!

Hockey pucks, Tim Horten’s coffee, maple syrup cold winters and a wonderful bunch of people all go to make up the UCB Canada team.

UCB International is proud to have UCB Canada as a family member and to have the privilege of watching them grow!
