In 2000 Perry Atkinson the Manager of the Christian station in Medford came to New Zealand to be a speaker at the UCB conference. He went home so impressed with the organisation that in a short time he bought back the station he was managing and became a UCB affiliate. What a wonderful station it is! It has continued to grow with repeaters beginning to cross the area.

Perry is now a director of UCB International. He is the sharpest dresser on the Board and is a strong advocate for the UCB ethos.

The Dove in Medford was the first affiliate in the States and it definitely won't be the last!
